Course Syllabus
Welcome to the course Quantitative Research Methods for the Social Sciences, Spring 2023, which starts on January 16, 2023, at 10:15.
This course will help you understand statistical reasoning in data analysis and research. You will learn about methods to describe data, compare groups, and study relationships between social factors. In the project part of the course, you will analyse real data from your own data set or one of the data sets provided within the course.
The course teaching method is flipped classroom. All the materials will be available here on the course website. There are physical meetings during the course, where you will practice using quantitative research methods. Due to the large proportion of students studying Master's program in Social Work remotely,
we will have several online sessions for those that are not able to attend the practicals in person.
The course has only two obligatory meetings, the article seminar and the end seminar, which will be online.
