Schedule meeting
Schedule a meeting via the Zoom application
- Open Zoom and click on "Schedule"
- The settings for the schedule meeting will now open
- Type in a name/title for the meeting
- Choose date and time for the meeting
- Let Zoom generate an automatic mötes-ID
- Choose safety settings for connecting to the meeting
- With the option "Passcode": a password will be created which the participants must type in to connect to the meeting
- With the option "Waiting Room": a waiting room to the meeting will occur where all the participants will have to wait until the host brings them in to the main meeting.
- Choose if video/webcam shall be activated initially when the host or participants join the meeting. Even if you choose "Off", the participants or the host will still be able to start their camera after joining the meeting.
- Allow the participants to solely call in to the meeting (Telephone), solely use the Zoom-app(computer audio) or both via telephone and app(Telephone and Computer audio)
- Choose which calendar format the schedule will be saved in
- Click on "Advanced options" to open other settings for the meeting.
- "Enable join before host" enables participants to start the meeting before the host has joined the meeting
- "Mute participants on entry" will automatically shut of the participants microphone when they join the meeting. They will be able to activate their microphone later
- "Only authenticatet user can join" allows only participants that has signed in with an account to join the meeting.
- "Automatically record meeting..." will record the meeting and save it as a MP4-file on the computer
- Here you will find the option to allow other participants to be "Alternative host" when you schedular the meeting
- Save the meeting by clicking "Save".
Now your calendar program will open where all information about the meeting will be saved. The pictures below shows where you find the connecting link to the meeting which also can be shared via for example the calendar program, e-mail, or via the learning platform.
